STAA is a charity providing access to the arts to improve people's health and well-being. We've been delivering positive arts experiences to enrich peoples' lives since 1996. We work with people from all walks of life. We specialise in supporting carers, older people with mental health needs and people with dementia.

We deliver art projects to increase people’s confidence & self-esteem. We encourage people to be creative and to express themselves in different ways.

We are based in West Bromwich and work with people living in Sandwell and in the West Midlands. We use professional artists to ensure the quality and excellence of our services.

We believe engaging in creative activities helps people to engage in the life of their communities through shared experiences and new learning. Opportunities for hobbies and recreation gives people more choices about how to live their lives. They help to keep people physically and mentally well and foster a healthier, happier society. For some people engaging in the arts makes life worth living!

Creativity for Carers ( and other stressed people in Sandwell) during Covid-19.

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic we've been sending out arty activity parcels for Wellbeing. Carers receive some art materials and instruction sheets to be creative at home on their own or with the person they care for and other family members. We are continuing this until February 2021 and can open up the service to more people living in Sandwell with funding from Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council and The National Lottery Community fund with support from HM Govt . Please contact us on info@staa.org.uk to sign up.
